South Kivu Civil Society thematic working group “Mines” statement on the report on the implementation of the budget for the 1rst quarter 2015

On Wednesday December 2, 2015 at a meeting of CSOs at the coordination office of the South Kivu thematic working group “Mines” (GTT) following the hearing of the presentation of the NGO Max Impact’s analytical report vs the reports on the implementation of the provincial budget for the 1rst quarters of 2014 and 2015, GTT members have raised the following observations:
– Week performance from the provincial authority in mobilizing receipts in the course of the 1rst quarter of 2015.
– Inconsistent statements from the Provincial Ministry of Mines regarding receipts collected at the 1rst quarter of 2015.
– Intentional avoidance in the report of receipts collected on a regular basis as a quota of 45% by SAESSCAM.
From these observations, recommendations were addressed to the Provincial Assembly and to the Public Prosecutor of the Court of Appeal in Bukavu.
